After Sunday's defeat at home, Ange Postecoglou's side are now just eight points above the relegation zone and currently 15th on the league table.

The series of poor results in the Premier League has fuelled speculations over the manager's future at the club, however, reports that the Lilywhites are not planning to part ways with Postecoglou amid a huge injury crisis in the squad and would rather focus on buying new players before the January transfer window closes next Monday and bolster the squad.
