According to , City failed to submit a visa application in time for Wednesday's match in Paris in a remarkable mishap. The Women's Super League outfit were unsuccessful in their desperate late attempts to secure a visa for Shaw and so will be without their star striker, who was the top scorer in the WSL last season and won the league's Player of the Season award.
