Kane scored four times in Bayern's 9-2 rout of the Croatian side on Tuesday, but the England captain was staying grounded after the victory. The 31-year-old warned his team "could get punished" if they continue to start slowly in the second half, where, on this occasion, they shipped two goals in as many minutes against Dinamo.

He told DAZN: "Amazing game. The first half was really good, we took our chances. We didn't start the second half well and got caught in a couple of second balls. We'll have to learn from that. But the reaction afterwards was really good. It's great to score all these goals. Today we got away with that bad start of the second half, but against top opposition, we could get punished for that."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Bayern have a 100 per cent winning record in all competitions this season as they look to bounce back from their trophyless 2023/24 campaign. Tuesday's victory saw Bayern become the first team to score nine in a Champions League match, while Kane became the highest-scoring Englishman in the competition. The former Tottenham star has scored nine goals in five matches in all competitions this term and his goals will be key if the Bavarians want to lift silverware in 2024/25.
WHAT NEXT?
Kane's Bayern return to Bundesliga action on Saturday afternoon, before hosting defending league champions Bayer Leverkusen on September 28. They take on Aston Villa in their second Champions League game on October 2.
