Since the Hollywood stars became owners of Wrexham, drama and action have followed them everywhere, so a strong start to League One always seemed likely. The Red Dragons went 3-1 up before a late Sam Vokes goal made it a nervy ending. Ultimately, though, the Welsh side managed to hold on.
Longoria recorded the scenes at the final whistle with Reynolds and McElhenney appearing overjoyed and relieved in equal measure.
WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?
It is unlikely Longoria will make the next trip to a Wrexham league game, when they travel to Bolton next Sunday, but it looks as if their owners are just as passionate as ever and will continue to dream of the Championship and beyond.
