Sheffield Wednesday ended their dire run of form as the Owls picked up their first league win in eight attempts at Hillsborough.
It was also the first time in two months that the home support have witnessed a goal and it came courtesy of Steven Fletcher bundling in the ball in the 95th minute against Charlton Athletic.
The second-half substitute bagged his 13th goal of the season and his first since making his comeback from injury.
But it was the performance of Crystal Palace loanee Connor Wickham that has caught the attention of the Owls faithful, although not for the right reasons.
Here’s what they have been saying…
There were plenty of superlatives used to describe his poor showing, including “absolutely awful” and “disappointing” while one supporter claimed the 26-year-old looked a shadow of his former self.
Another member of the Owls crowd believed she could do a better job up top despite being pregnant.

Per SofaScore, Wickham had two shots off target and one blocked as well as one successful dribble, but only won 37.5% of his aerial duels and lost possession 11 times.
It has led to comparisons being made to another striker in Monk’s ranks – Jordan Rhodes.
While others pondered whether or not he was the worst players they have ever had with a further supporter calling him an “absolute car crash.”
