Per , Jorginho has signed a pre-contract with Flamengo ahead of his move to Brazil this summer. The Italian midfielder was set to become a free agent at the end of the season but is instead poised to move to Brazil, where he will sign a deal until 2028.

The 33-year-old arrived at the Emirates on an 18-month contract but saw that extended last summer. He has made a total of 78 appearances for the club and has seen his playing time diminish this term; he has made nine Premier League starts under Mikel Arteta in 2024-25.

Jorginho has recently been battling a chest injury but he captained the Gunners in his last appearance, a clash with Brentford in April. He has not won a trophy at the Gunners but he was triumphant at Euro 2020 with Italy.
