He was not given the spot-kick, though, with the referee seemingly deciding that he had dived. The Arsenal winger continued his protests after the final whistle as a dramatic game ended in chaotic scenes.

Saka did actually score in the game, opening the scoring with a brilliant curling effort, but that was cancelled out by a Serge Gnabry goal and a Harry Kane penalty. Leandro Trossard equalised in the second half, leaving the tie evenly poised ahead of next week's return leg.
